Carolina Herrera recently displayed a collection inspired by former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and now my “Style Diva” Michelle Obama chose a Carolina Herrera gown to the annual state dinner to welcome French President Francois Hollande.

The outfit a flawless powder blue and lace gown by Carolina Herrera the classy female designer and its intricacies makes it a really prestigious outfit suitable only for dignitaries like the First lady. The press release described it as “black hand-sewn beaded embroidery appliqué scallop-edged top over a liberty blue silk faille corset with a wide black velvet belt detail and liberty blue silk faille inverted pleat long skirt and train”, this says it all.

Known for sleeker choices, in my view this black beaded and blue piece was very couture and elegant, a perfect stately choice for Michelle as she styled it with blue statement earrings by Sutra; on the cleavage, I would say phew! Not bad for sensuality overall the flow of the gown and lace around the cleavage and sleeves works wonders. I definelty love the blend of colors and consider it one of my favorite looks of the style icon.
