First tell us about your work wear style.
For work i wear very comfortable and smart outfits; Like Pencil jeans or boot cuts & fitted tops because it’s easy to move around in them. Besides I don’t do a tie & suit kind of job, lol! am a pro make up artist, photographer, hand craft, Entrepreneur. Hence my casual chic work wear style.
Why is image such an important part of your professional identity?
Image is everything, image sells, it tells a lot about you. Image is important because it makes a good lasting impression.
What’s been the biggest challenge with your professional image?
I will say the packaging, which is one of the most important part of every professional image. Am rebranding and coming out in a more better image in a bit.
Tell us about a fashion faux pas you made and what you learned.
Ohh no! I don’t want to remember haha. This happened a long time ago.. check top, stripes pants, floral shoes..gosh!
I have learnt to always go for colors that suit my skin type, clothes that define my body structure. Also styles that works for my entire figure. Smiles
Have you ever had an aha moment about your style?
Honestly, this happens a lot wen I go through catalogs , fashion blogs and Enews. There is this sudden insight I get about certain combination of wears , how to rock em’ colors and still stay chic &classy.
Can you give us one piece of advice on dressing professionally?
Oh, well! Dress how you want to be addressed. Be comfortable in your clothes, pay attention to how you look (wash,Iron, replace missing buttons, check out for stains, rips) prepare in advance, this helps a great deal. Get good matching bag, shoes and accessories, smell good.
Lastly:-Always remember less is more.
