Have I been missing in action from #Owambe? I would say yes. So to recoup from being missing in action, I attended a typical Yoruba royal wedding. And from start to finish was fun and glam.
Join me in visual mode and get all the red carpet scoops from the grandiose wedding of popular Fashion blogger Olubukola Emmanuella Moyo Aka Ella Mo, to her sweet heart Prince Farooq Adenugba. The son of his royal highness “The Ebumawe of Ago Iwoye.
The wedding which took place at the Grandeur event center, Oregun Lagos was filled with lots of pomp and pageantry. Typical of a royal wedding and in attendance were lots of notable personalities and celebrities. Like Hajia Abah Folawiyo, Monalisa Chinda, Kenny saint Best, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Eva Alordia, lots of traditional rulers and more.
It was quite a spectacle and rather overwhelming. I would say we partied from dusk to dawn and there was so much fun.
The wedding party featured top DJ Jimmy Jatt on deck and the band was hosted by son of veteran Nigerian musician Ebenezer Obey.
Of course your Owambe enthusiast Madame Solange was on ground hosting the red carpet and it was nice to see what the ladies had to create from the popular asoebi fabric. This time we were all crimson and everyone tried their best at being the diva in red.
The styles of asoebi ranged from the typical; Iro and buba which were sewn in contemporary designs, to lovely mermaid gowns and tulle dresses. It was one of those parties you wished never ended.
Too much fun I must say. Madame Solange captured all the style and fashion present as well as all the fun in-house.
See what went down for style and party inspiration.
