Last week, prior to the Easter holidays, I was sick, really sick! I had a case of fever and food poisoning to rival that scene in Game of Thrones where Khal Drogo was down with a terrible fever. The following day; Good Friday, had me feeling like I was bitten by a swarm of bees (Lol! Am I exaggerating?) coupled with a case of sea sickness that I desperately needed a quick respite from. Phew! It was time for a bit of action, a fast style therapy to cure my ailing ways.

I did head over to the web to see if there were any style bloggers or stylish pictures with good visual aesthetics to calm me down and Yes!, did I find something? It was Ene Maya Lawani, at the Polo Avenue‘s preview showing of the Spring/Summer 2014 collections from Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana.

Was it the fever or my eyes for style? There’s no doubt that her whole ensemble looked perfect and on-point. What I call complete HTT (head to toe) styling

What I love about the style?

First, it comes off as edgy with a banging skirt she had on. Second, her shoes look comfortable and comfort shoes are great. My advice, think like Ene, Go for a shoe that becomes a conversation starter. Be it an architectural heel, a vibrant color combination or bold pattern, simple is fine for shoes. But just never go boring. What’s your favorite shoe? Third, I am really loving her waistline, all cinched in to highlight the curves of a lady bringing in that feminine allure….hmmmm!!

To get her look, why not go out of your comfort zone once in a while and vamp up your style, especially if your wardrobe is on the simple side. To be stylish, think classic lines and non-fussy, architectural details, and then remember, a little fascinator does the trick to add a little… pizzazz.
